Hudson West was born in Dayton, Ohio in 2008, but don’t let his young age fool you. He has built quite an impressive résumé in a very short time.
Hudson began his career with Wings Model Management at the age of 4. Under the guidance of owner Jake Lang
he took various workshops with many teachers who flew to Cincinnati from the Los Angeles area. Taking notice of Hudson’s attention to detail, his well-behaved manner and acute ability to take direction, Jake knew it was time for the next step. Expo was right around the corner so Jake asked Hudson if he would attend Expo representing the 4-7 year old division.
Since staring his acting career, Hudson has worked with the likes of iconic actresses Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin in Grace and Frankie. “Jane Fonda is the most famous person I’ve met,” Hudson recalled in a June 2017 interview. “I really enjoyed meeting her and working with her.”
He also worked with Sarah Paulson in the multi Golden Globe winning miniseries “American Crime Story: The People VS OJ” as Marcia Clark’s son Travis. He also has appeared on “Modern Family”, “Major Crimes”, and “Grey’s Anatomy”. In 2015, he made his feature film debut opposite Kevin James in the comedy Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.
He recently finished principal photography for the 2017 comedy Life Support, working with J.K. Simmons, Lesley Ann Warren, Chris Bauer and Brian Dennehy. He plays Logan in the upcoming film Roads, Trees and Honeybees.
Meanwhile, he’s still busy with “General Hospital” where he’s played Jake Spencer since he took the role over in 2016. His costars have nothing but praise for the young actor’s work, saying “This is the start of an accomplished actor.... Wow!”
Where does he see himself 10 years from now? “I hope
to still be acting, but I also am not going to neglect my studies,” Hudson says. “Right now I think I would like to be studying mechanical engineering. But you never know. I could change my mind in 10 years.”
Hudson enjoys acting and loves being on-set and working with all of the amazing actors & actresses. This talented young actor hopes to get many more roles. He currently still takes classes as he is constantly working on his craft.
